EP 387 Two Simple Steps To Selling Anything

https://DarkHorseSchooling.com/podcast

SUMMARY: The Dark Horse Entrepreneur explains that there are two simple concepts that anyone can use to sell just about any product. The first concept is to identify the customer’s problem and the second is to show the customer how your product can solve that problem. The entrepreneur goes on to say that being an entrepreneur can also be difficult, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed by technology or when you are doubting your ability to succeed. The Dark Horse Entrepreneur Podcast is designed to help entrepreneurs who are struggling with these issues.

Tracy Brinkman discusses the two step selling process and how it can be used to sell anything. The first step is to determine what’s in it for the customer, or WIIFM. The second step is to make an offer that the customer can’t refuse.

The customer is always wondering what’s in it for me? and this question needs to be answered right away. Secondly, you need to join in on the conversation that the customer is already having in their head. This can be done by sharing your pain of their problem and how you searched for a solution. You’re essentially taking them by the hand and walking with them right up to the edge of the problem and pointing it out. Finally, let them know that you understand how much it stinks to have that problem and that you have found the answer.

The conversation is about how to best sell to potential customers by using the What’s in it for me? (WIIFM) approach. The idea is that you should focus on what the potential customer stands to gain from your product or service, rather than trying to convince them that they have a problem that needs to be solved. This is known as Occam’s Razor, and it’s a way of simplifying the selling process by getting rid of unnecessary information.

EP 386 7 Questions to Ask Before Creating an Online Course

https://DarkHorseSchooling.com/podcast

SUMMARY: Tracy Brinkman, host of the Dark Horse Entrepreneur Podcast, believes that creating an online course can be a great way for entrepreneurs to level up their businesses. However, she stresses that it is important to ask oneself some questions before embarking on this journey, such as whether one has the time and effort to commit to creating a course, and whether their business is ready for this level of marketing.

Before creating an online course, it is important to ask yourself seven questions in order to increase the chances of success. These questions include: who is your audience, what problem does your course solve, what are your goals for the course, what is your unique selling proposition, what is the format of your course, what is the delivery schedule, and how will you promote your course? By taking the time to answer these questions, you will be better prepared to create a course that meets the needs of your audience and achieves your goals.

Tracy asks the audience if they have found market demand for their potential online course topic. They explain that it is important to solve other people’s problems if they want to make money and that the best selling online courses meet a particular need. The speaker suggests that people do market research to determine if there is a demand for their potential course.

Tracy asks if it is a good idea to create an online course and if they have enough knowledge to do so. They say that you should only create a course if you have enough people interested in it and if you have enough knowledge about the topic to discuss it. They say that if you put out crap content, people are going to bail on you and your long term earning potential will take a nosedive.

And if you want to launch an online course, entrepreneurs solve problems. I’m going to say it again. And people are going to see right through you if you’re only doing things for the money.

And if you run a business, the money is of course an important aspect. I’m mr capitalism here, right? I know. I have no problem paying somebody for their services.

Keep an eye out for it and use all those platforms to collect the information that you need as part of building up that hype. And what I mean by that is, hey, I thought I got me to do this course.

It’s a great idea to do this, and you can do this via several methods as part of your launch of your online course. Social media is a great one.

Most creators like myself are creating video modules which you can put in any number of the different platforms out there. The skillshares, the Udemys, the Think Ethics, the list goes on and on.

EP 384 More Things I Wish I Had Known Before I Started

https://DarkHorseSchooling.com/podcast

SUMMARY : In the last episode, the Dark Horse Entrepreneur Podcast host Tracy Brinkman talked about the things she wishes he knew before she started her entrepreneurial journey. He said that being an entrepreneur can be tough, but it is worth it if you are driven and passionate. He also said that it is important to always be learning, even if you have been in the business for awhile.

The conversation discuss seven things that the Tracy wish he knew before he started his entrepreneurial journey. The first seven tips are related to building a strong foundation for a successful business, including building a list of email subscribers and having something to sell from day one. The eighth tip is related to approaching possible guests or joint venture (JV) opportunities in a way that is less intimidating and more likely to result in a positive response.

In order to get the attention of a celebrity or expert that you want to collaborate with, the best thing to do is buy their product and then use it. After you have implemented the advice in the product, write to the celebrity or expert and let them know your results. This is a great way to get their attention and show that you are a fan of their work.

Tracy offers a tip for building relationships with experts or gurus in your field – reach out to them after you’ve used their product or implemented their advice, and let them know your results. This not only validates them as an expert, but also starts a dialogue that could lead to future work or opportunities.

I’ll give you this great content about Internet marketing. Or if they pay for it, you give it to them once a week. If there’s lots of niches where daily tips are great.

You have lots of great content you want to get, and you’re taking some of that content from the other experts, we talk about why I keep saying podcast interviews.

All right, last two lead magnet ideas. Now, I did a whole episode on a free lead magnet that applied to just about any niche. It was about three episodes ago.

And the way you’re always going to have your brain on the lookout is to pay attention to the damn ideas you’re getting in the first place. You get an idea, you don’t write it down.

That’s why you need to keep some sort of idea log. Every single time you get an idea for a topic, every time you read something that gives you an idea for a topic, every time you hear someone talk about something for a topic or talk about something, you’re like, oh, maybe a good guess to come on my show.

EP 383 Things I Wish I Had Known Before I Started

https://DarkHorseSchooling.com/podcast

SUMMARY: In this episode of the Dark Horse Entrepreneur Podcast, Tracy Brickman helps entrepreneurs, coaches, and course creators who want to build a business online but are battling technology, overwhelmed procrastination, and even imposter syndrome. He shares tips and advice on how to successfully overcome these obstacles and build a successful business.

Tracy discusses the reasons why someone might start podcasting or creating an online course, and shares some of the things she wishes she had known before she started doing either of them. He stresses the importance of knowing your audience and offers some tips on how to create content that will appeal to them.

The best time to start a successful and popular podcast or online course is before you press the record button for the first time. However, it can be a hard slog for creators to learn what works and what doesn’t. Fortunately, some tips can help you learn from the mistakes of others.

Knowing what you want to get out of your course or podcast is important, as it will give you a clear reason for creating it. Additionally, your email list should come before your product, as it is a slow process to build one from scratch. Finally, social media can be a helpful tool for promoting your course or podcast to your target audience.

Tracy explains that if you want to be successful in launching a podcast, it is important to have an email list, social media following, and something to sell from day one. Without these things, it will be difficult to get people to listen to your podcast and you will likely end up spending more money than you make.

Interview some big shots in your niche, even go outside of your niche, but somehow relates to the theme of your course, of your podcast. I’ve had folks from way outside the entrepreneurial, the podcasting, and the online course realm, right? But I was always able to take their knowledge and relate it back.

You need to choose to be a celebrity from day one, all right? You need to choose to be someone who is bigger than you are in real life, someone with a memorable name and a personality.

What that means is whatever money you’re spending on ads and the costs it takes to get a prospect turned into a paying customer, at the end of the day, the cost of the course pays for that ad.

You’ll be investing your time to create your episodes, to create your lessons, and to edit those episodes and added those lessons into marketing and finding people to come in and talk, doing everything else that needs to be done or you’ll be hiring someone to do it.

You’re going to send your subscribers and your social media friends to your podcast to get that critical mass, that boost as soon as you hit itunes, to jump you up in the lists so that you can grab more listeners and more subscribers and then really start to build your email list.
